Nannyberry Shrub

The Nannyberry is an easy-to-grow, wide-spreading, native bush that provides year-round interest, with showy white flowers in the spring, followed by a rich burgundy colour in the fall, and blue berries in winter. It makes a great privacy hedgerow or can be pruned back to a small tree by removing suckers at the base.  Early spring blooms provide excellent pollinator support. Viburnums flower profusely whether or not pollination occurs.

Popular in jams and jellies, home gardeners also enjoy eating the ripe berries right off the bush.
